LoRaWAN IoT solutions

You have probably heard about IoT (the Internet of Things) even if you’re not sure about exactly what it is. Simply put, the Internet of Things is made up of devices – from simple sensors to smartphones and wearables – connected together. By combining these connected devices with automated systems, it is possible to “gather information, analyse it and create an action” to help someone with a particular task, or learn from a process.

We specialise in LoRaWAN systems, these consist of LoRa (Long Range) LPWAN (Low Power Wide Area Network) devices that typically monitor a system/process/environment using a battery powered device that will transmit readings over a Long Range to a gateway device. The gateway will collate and re-transmit the information to our backend systems where we log/analyse/act upon the information. The major benefits to this system are

• low cost installation (the monitoring devices are wireless)
• long battery life, typically 3-5 years before a replacement is required
• rapid, flexibile installation. Easily re-locate sensors to another room, zone, building. As long as you are within transmission range of a ‘hotspot’ your device will continue to operate
